PS3 HDMI Problems – How To Fix PS3 HDMI Problems

This is what you should try first to fix the problem
-Turn on your TV and set input to HDMI port being used
-Check to make sure the HDMI cable is not loosely connected
-Power on the PS3 via power button and HOLD it for a good 5 seconds. Release after the 2nd beep. This should configure your ps3 to TV’s native resolution for every setting.
-If the HDMI problem is still exist, we should then check if there is something wrong with your HDMI cable. Therefore, try using another HDMI cable if you have one. This is highly recommended to try because it could be just the HDMI cable failing but not the Playstation 3.
-If after using another HDMI cable and the HDMI problem still persists, then there is something wrong with the Playstation 3 itself.
However, there is no need to worry about buying a new Playstation 3 for $300. There are still two options you can do that is guarantee to work.
1) Fix the PS3 HDMI problem by Sony
You can get it fixed from Sony if you are still under warranty. This is highly recommended if you are still under warranty.
If you are not covered by warranty anymore, then the cost of repairing will be about $ 150 with a wait time of around 2-6 weeks.
2) Fix the PS3 HDMI problem by yourself
If you want to fix it but is not too confident, then the best recommendation is through the guidance of a PS3 fix guide.
